New Features
Following are the new features introduced in this release:
A new and fresh look for the platform
RapidCanvas platform has undergone a makeover, enhancing its visual appeal, intuitiveness, and user-friendliness. Notable changes include:
Existing left navigation has been moved to top navigation bar.
Addition of a menu on the top-level navigation area for easy access to all modules.
Secondary navigation now displays module-specific functionalities.
Introduction of new colours and fonts on the dashboard and Projects page.
Update of icons across modules and screens for a refreshed appearance.
You can expect more enhancements in upcoming releases as we continue to refine our UI.
Addition of Business User Role
A new role, “business user,” has been introduced. Users with this role can create projects and models but cannot create/edit/view scenarios, segments, template recipe types, models, artifacts, global variables, and view conditions in AI-assisted recipes. Timeout options are also not visible in both AI-assisted and rapid model recipes.
Enhancements
Multi-line Queries
Users now have the capability to input multiple lines in both the Ask AI and AI guide query boxes.
Recipe Type Display
The name of the recipe type used in the DAG is now visible in the side panel.
Chart Rendering with Plotly
Chart rendering has been upgraded from Streamlit to Plotly, offering improved support.
Addition of Dataset Button in Rapid Model Recipe
If a rapid model recipe fails, users can now easily navigate back to the Dataset view instead of the canvas page by selecting the “Go back to Dataset view” option.
Removal of “Create an Account” Option from Login Page
The “create an account” button has been removed from the platform’s login page.
Change in Dataset Order
Previously, dataset column values were rendered from bottom to top; now, they are displayed from top to bottom as in the uploaded file.
Datatype Acceptance in AskAI
AskAI now accommodates datatype prompts, generating the output dataset with columns accordingly.
Addition of Notifications for Custom Environments and DataApps
Users now receive notifications when there is high CPU usage and low disk space in DataApps and customer environments. Users with DataApp view role restrictions are prompted to contact the admin to resolve resource consumption issues.
Enhancements to AskAI
AskAI now offers an improved user experience with features such as:
Highlight the error line in the generated code by the AskAI.
Options to test prompt outputs on different dataset sizes. The options available to test the recipe on the dataset include:
Test on the full dataset by default
Test on 100k rows
Test on 1 million rows in the dataset
Ability to customize chart names when adding them to recipes.
Transition to Plotly for chart generation.
Reorganized the Support Page
The support page to raise technical issues encountered on the platform has been moved from the left navigation menu to the top navigation area under the help section.
