New Features
Following are the new features introduced in this release:
Recipe Queue
Overview
Introducing the Recipe Queue feature, enhancing workflow efficiency by allowing users to queue multiple recipes on the canvas.
Key Features
Queue Management: Users can trigger multiple recipes sequentially. If a recipe is already running, subsequent recipes are queued automatically.
Queue Interface: A dedicated interface allows users to view, reorder, and remove recipes from the queue as needed.
Status and Logs: Each recipe in the queue displays real-time status updates and logs, providing visibility into execution progress.
Clear Queue Option: Users have the flexibility to clear the entire recipe queue with a single action.
Usage
Executing Recipes: Users can initiate the first recipe on the canvas. Subsequent recipes can be added to the queue by right-clicking and selecting “Add to Queue” from the context menu.
Run Options: Upon running the first recipe, users can manage subsequent recipes efficiently using the queue feature.
Benefits
Enhances productivity by streamlining the execution of multiple recipes without manual intervention.
Provides clear visibility and control over recipe execution sequence and status.
Simplifies workflow management by allowing users to prioritize and adjust recipe execution order on the fly.
This update introduces a powerful capability to manage and streamline recipe execution workflows, aimed at optimising user experience and operational efficiency.
Audit History for Dataset Updates
Overview
Introducing the new “Actions” column for datasets, enhancing audit history and user activity tracking within the platform.
Key Features
Audit Logging: The “Actions” column records user activities such as query creation, reloading, or updating.
Detailed Entries: Each entry in the Actions column includes:
Action performed (e.g. creation, reloading, updating)
User responsible for the action
Timestamp of the action
Usage
Visibility and Transparency: Provides administrators and users with a clear audit trail of dataset activities for compliance and troubleshooting purposes.
Audit Trail Management: Enables efficient tracking and review of changes made to SQL queries over time.
Benefits
Enhances security and accountability by documenting user interactions with SQL queries.
Facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements by maintaining a comprehensive audit trail.
Supports troubleshooting efforts with detailed insights into query history and modifications.
This update introduces a valuable feature for monitoring and managing SQL-based connector activities, aimed at improving transparency and governance within the platform.
